MSH launches Elucin, its employee benefits captive advisory division in Luxembourg

MSH, a subsidiary of the Diot-Siaci Group – the European leader in corporate insurance and reinsurance brokerage and a key player in international private medical insurance (IPMI) – announces the creation of Elucin, its Luxembourg-based entity specialising in employee benefits captives.

MSH has set up Elucin, a new entity based in Luxembourg that specialises in captive schemes for employee benefits.

Elucin supports international groups and their captive insurers, including those domiciled outside Europe. The programmes are coordinated centrally and implemented locally through the client’s existing networks and brokers.

The management of employee benefits is increasingly moving beyond the remit of finance and risk functions alone to become a genuine strategic priority for HR directors. They see it as a means of improving both the efficiency of benefits funding and the value delivered to staff.

Sven Roelandt and Zulu Khan will lead the organisation. Sven Roelandt has over twenty years’ international experience in the field of employee benefits, notably in senior management roles at Zurich, Insurope, Generali Employee Benefits and Aon, where he established and led the global business dedicated to employee benefits captives.

Zulu Khan, for his part, will lead the Underwriting and Operations functions and spearhead the firm’s expansion into the North American market. He brings extensive underwriting expertise gained across insurers, captive managers and brokers, with previous roles at AXA, Generali, Granite Management and Aon.

With this new entity, Diot-Siaci is strengthening its international expertise through a team dedicated exclusively to employee benefits captives. Frédéric Grand, EB Global Practice Lead and CEO of MSH, will play an active role in Elucin alongside Sven Roelandt and Zulu Khan, who will report directly to him.

.

More and more international companies are looking to reinsure their employee benefits through captives, and they need specialist expertise to navigate this constantly evolving landscape. We have therefore entered into a partnership with Sven and Zulu, two recognised leaders in this field. Through Elucin, we will make this expertise available to our clients worldwide, regardless of where they operate or where their captives are based.

states Cédric Charpentier, Chief Executive of the Diot-Siaci Group.

Diot-Siaci is expanding rapidly in international markets. Alongside the companies we acquire, we empower our own specialists to set up new entities, as entrepreneurship is an integral part of our DNA. Elucin is a perfect example of this: an international company from day one, based in Luxembourg, serving captives wherever they are located, and led by founders who embody the Group’s values: expertise, entrepreneurial spirit and team spirit.

says Pierre Donnersberg, Co-chairman of the Diot-Siaci Group.
